High Tide Expands Canna Cabana Network with Four New Alberta and Ontario Store Openings, Boosting National Footprint to 215 Locations

High Tide Inc. Bolsters Retail Presence with Four New Canna Cabana Locations in Alberta and Ontario

High Tide Inc., a leading retail-forward enterprise in the cannabis sector, has announced a significant expansion of its Canna Cabana network, with the opening of four new stores across Alberta and Ontario. These strategic launches are set to increase the company’s total store count to 215 locations nationwide, reinforcing its position as Canada’s largest cannabis retailer.

The newly announced locations include one in Calgary, Alberta, and three in Ontario: Scarborough, Kitchener, and Nepean. This expansion is a testament to High Tide’s ongoing strategy to drive profitable growth through disciplined capital allocation and a focus on prime real estate. Raj Grover, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of High Tide, expressed satisfaction with the company’s organic growth, stating, “Hitting 215 Cabanas—almost entirely through organic growth—is a powerful validation of our disciplined capital allocation strategy and our ability to identify and win in the right neighbourhoods.”

Strategic Expansion in Key Markets

The expansion into these four new markets aligns with High Tide’s ambitious target to open 20-30 new stores throughout 2025. The company has been steadily increasing its footprint, with 24 new locations opened year-to-date as of the announcement. This latest wave of openings further solidifies Canna Cabana’s presence, bringing the total number of stores to 90 in Alberta and 92 in Ontario.

The Calgary store, located at 2525 Bridlecrest Way SW, began selling recreational cannabis products and accessories on November 13, 2025. This marks a new service area for Canna Cabana within Calgary, situated in a high-growth neighbourhood plaza. Following closely, the Scarborough location at 2000 Eglinton Avenue East commenced sales on November 17, 2025.

The Kitchener store, located at 875 Highland Road West, is set to open its doors on November 18, 2025. This location is strategically placed in a high-traffic commercial centre, benefiting from proximity to national grocers and other retailers, positioning it to capture significant market share. Rounding out the new openings, the Nepean store at 1831 Robertson Road is expected to start selling cannabis products on November 20, 2025. This expansion deepens High Tide’s presence in the rapidly evolving Ottawa suburb of Nepean.

Canna Cabana Brand Strength and Growth

Canna Cabana has established itself as a leading brand in the Canadian cannabis market, known for its discount club retail model and commitment to offering competitive prices with a focus on customer experience. Launched in October 2021, the discount club strategy has been instrumental in High Tide’s market share capture and customer loyalty, positioning Canna Cabana as North America’s first cannabis discount club retailer. The brand’s success is further bolstered by its Cabana Club loyalty program, which boasts over 1.76 million members in Canada, with its premium ELITE tier experiencing rapid growth.

High Tide’s strategy of self-funding its growth through strong free cash flow allows for continuous expansion without relying on external capital. This disciplined approach, coupled with a focus on securing high-potential real estate, underpins the company’s consistent achievement of its store opening targets. The consistent execution by High Tide’s team continues to expand its national reach and amplify the strength of the Canna Cabana brand.

Financial Performance and Future Outlook

The company’s financial results reflect the success of its expansion strategy. High Tide has reported record revenues, with its bricks-and-mortar segment showing robust year-over-year growth. For the third fiscal quarter of 2025, High Tide reported a record revenue of $149.7 million, an increase of 14% year over year. The company also achieved positive free cash flow and net income, underscoring its operational efficiency and financial health.

With this latest expansion, High Tide continues to demonstrate its commitment to growing the Canna Cabana network. The company’s strategic vision extends beyond Canada, with international expansion plans, including a notable acquisition in Germany, indicating a move towards becoming a global cannabis entity. High Tide’s sustained growth and market leadership, driven by its innovative retail model and strong brand presence, position it well for continued success in the evolving cannabis landscape.
